Bbc not cutting this from the broadcast created made this situation a 100x worse
Right they had full control of editing that out , but didn’t!!
So they edited out the palestine outburst but didnt edit out the racist slur. Why?

He has tourettes, everyone knows what this situation is. Hes seen the two gentlemen, thought to himself "please dont have a tic please dont say the n word dont say it dont say it" and anyone with tourettes will tell you that the word you want to say the least will always be the one you tic out
it was prerecorded and they could’ve censored it ! and then the nerve to call it offensive language but use “if you were offended” as some excuse for an apology. we live in an absolute clown world.
I prime example of people only caring about disabilities when it's through a computer screen to look good 😂
They had time to edit the comment out. No apology would have been needed. Another negative story to get clicks.

This was a very sad outcome for John, the film is amazing and goes to show how he is unable to control such outbursts with a neurological disorder. It’s a shame BBC did not give guidance to those in attendance, or an announcement at the beginning of the show. Especially considering the film, was only shown in UK cinemas. Really overshadows the films achievements, and John’s life achievements !
Hardly controversial if the guy has tourettes is it!? Poor guy
The BBC gave 2 apologies and both were not good, with neither addressing how hurtful/harmful the whole thing was. They only apologized for the fact that it was in the broadcast. They handled it poorly considering that the show isn’t even live and they chose to cut/edit speeches that spoke out against the injustices that are happening in the world.
Poor guy probably feels awful. Feel badly they did not edit it out.
