"The left has a wisdom problem" is such a telling statement because it's the exact same thing stodgy old conservatives have been saying for centuries. i think contras ability to so effectively break down jkr was because they fundamentally have the same psychology. one of the things that really stuck out to me was when she points out that jkr has no concept of her own power and is mentally stuck in a state of victimhood and weakness despite being a billionaire and one of the most influential people in the uk - now contras a multimillionaire with nearly 2 million subscribers, one of the biggest patreons, and a cult of rabid sycophants on her own subreddit that shes sending after a black woman with 10x fewer subs and 100x fewer views (roughly on average), and acting like shes a victim who was tricked or lured into some trap to be humiliated for content.

These stoic martyrs unfairly attacked for their views always seem to do a lot of paid interviews about how attacked they are and airing those views, which attract unfair attacks, which leads to more stoic paid interviews.

I used to be like her. I was a left leaning liberal in my teen years, had the ‘why I left the left’ moment (people were mean to me on social media) and then became a conservative only to realise that I do not belong there too as I had to cosplay hating people to be accepted. This finally led me to coming back to my roots, even harder, took a strong Left turn.

ContraPoints is just someone who's privileged enough to benefit from those who were willing to fight for her, but not enough to help support those same folks who are fighting for things today... I've met so many of these folks, well spoken and knowledgeable but has no sense of accountability and responsibility, over the many years of community organizing... it's so disappointing. What perfect timing. I just got done listening to her on the Bad Faith podcast and a big YIKES. I was really kind of shocked at how ignorant she was (intentionally or not) to leftist ideas, and political ideas in general. Harris didn’t just say that she wouldn't do anything different than Biden. She literally promised to continue funding Israel's war crimes in other words no arms embargo. Even going so far as to state that she wouldn't even condition lethal arms. This was the breaking point for many her committing herself to funding War crimes which is a war crime in itself.
