I know Ogier the GOAT, but the fact that he still wins every rally he takes part in, even on a part time basis, tells you everything you need to know about the rest of the field. Some big names that have been in the sport a long time need to step up
Is it too early to rename WRC1 to the Toyota Cup Class?
Oh , Solberg, it's a long season, valuable points thrown away, second to Ogier would have been no problem.
Damn shame for Oliver after such an impressive rally. He's got bags of potential and with the current crop of drivers he has champion written all over him, but I'd be concerned about his rate of accidents, mistakes and crashes. We've had the likes of McRae, Latvala, Chris Meeke and even Oliver's Dad. All very fast, even champions, yet frustratingly crash prone that never became any less crash prone with age and experience, were the type that take needlessly stupid risks and push when there was no need to so I hope Oliver isn't just another one of those. If Oliver showed just a little more savvy, self control and looked at the bigger picture, he could won Sweden and has stronger finishes, most likely would be leading the championship, so I just hope he settles down a bit, without taking away anything from his amazing talent. Ogier isn't his championship rival, so finishing a strong second ahead of his actual championship rivals should have been the mindset.
WRC is In a terrible state, some awful and cringe worthy commentators, abysmal coverage, just 3 teams (pretty much just TGR now) and drivers that just can’t seem to stay consistent and get hammered by Ogier racing part time. Ford boys not even top 10. Sort it out. Great sport going down the drain
Oliver simply has to set his sights on the championship, not on single rally wins He has lost 4 consecutive rallies while trying for winning glory. Kasuta used to make the same mistakes, but has calmed down. Oliver should learn from Evans, take every point available with ease at the end of the season very respectable position. Solberg has the talent and speed, but he's chasing moments glory. Ones Orgier leads you, move at your own pace!!
No music please🙏
First 4 minutes were great!
Oliver reminds me of Colin Macrae. . . He's such a good driver, but also so aggressive that it sometimes works against him
Can you please stop including this talk at the end of 3–4-minute coverage, it's annoying. They're just talking and that's all.
Ogier should sign up for Hyundai.
Lots of drivers improving from the previous year. Katsuta, Solberg, Pajari. Wonderful to see!
Brilliant Ogier. Amazing as usual. Could someone get rid of that awful screeching woman and then we could enjoy it even more. 😂😂
If Ogier wants a new challenge he should go he should go see what happens with a Hyundai, or even moreso.... Bring it back to msport for 1 last season
I live in the islands, the asphalt here is very treacherous. For example, there are many curves that are right-handers but the asphalt pushes you to the left because they're built on a slope. We have an example of this at 1:03. Driving here is on another level!
Well I guess the old saying "to win a rally you have to finish a rally" still stands.
Sometimes I feel bad for Evans because Ogier just has his number. Solberg has great pace and to be fair he was so unlucky with the gap in the barrier or he might have got away with it
Been watching a lot of the highlights and stuff lately, but what’s the best way to watch/follow these events live? Would love to be able to watch full stages instead of the few minutes we get here and there in the highlights.
I commend Oliver Solberg for trying to bring the fight to Sebastien Ogier. He paid a heavy price, but he showed great speed and competitive attitude of always fighting till the last stage. That's what we want to see from all drivers.
I'm so sorry for Solberg, but in his position, I think I'd have done the same, pushed as hard as I could.
