This is the only motorsports event that I look forward to now. Real racing, no strange boardroom rules, no electronic warfare. I am thankful to have lived through and experienced this magnificent time. Even nostalgia isn’t the same anymore it seems.

I remember watching a saloon car race at Mallory park *decades* ago where there was a fantastic battle between a mini and a Rover SD1 3500. Swapped places lap after lap after lap, the mini always overtaking at the hairpin and the Rover blasting past at Gerards. It was brilliant entertainment.
