Monica’s father was the genesis of all the problems. He was a weak husband and somewhat manipulative father. He was also very lazy and didn’t mind his young child to drop out of school and fend for his family when it’s not like he was ill or disabled. He could not stand his ground and he made his wife make the decisions even when he knew some of them were wrong. His irresponsibility got transferred to his son who took over his laziness and inability to provide for his new family and siblings. Her mother also suffered from childhood trauma and believed the first child should sacrifice herself for the family, which was similar to what she did as a child. All her childhood trauma coupled with a docile husband made her rule her home ruthlessly to the extent that she was unaware of her wrong deeds till the end. I’m happy Monica ended well as some people don’t get the opportunity to do so even with all their sacrifices. May God give us the wisdom to lead our families the right way and help us discontinue any generational traumas/curses. Amen.
