I recently bought the Tuareg and I don't regret it. It can be a civilised or as raucous as you want it to be, true capability both on and off road.
I would pay more for less weight, would not pay less for more weight.
Haha, so most of the list is just KTM in disguise:D
I've got the Norden 901 expedition and I absolutely love it, but when I came to change the chain and sprockets at 14000 miles (3 years old) the front sprocket drive shaft splines have worn worse than any bike I have ever had. Checked with dealer if there was a recall on the problem but there wasn't. £243 for a new shaft and over 5 hours plus labour hours, there are other parts need to carry out the repair and while your splitting the lower casings apart they might as well replace the final oil seal, O ring and bushings. So lets say every 14000miles it will cost you just over £1000 to change the chain and sprockets. Not happy with that, but what a bike. The problem I think is that the sprocket side loading of the Norden is by a cup washer and bottomed out bolt arrangement which allows more axial movement of the sprocket to shaft spline interface. The KTM 890 final shaft front sprocket drive arrangement has the usual nut and tab washer axial loading method which is makes more sense.
What about QJ Motor SRT800RX? Been personally very excited about it coming soon to the market.
I have the earlier 800MT, brilliant bike. Had it just over 2 years now, done a bit of touring on it. It’s been brilliant, especially for the spec you get for the price you pay. Hard to justify the extra money for the others. I’ll be really tempted if the 1000MTX arrives. The Voge are supposed to be really good too. A “middleweight” with a touring fuel tank would be good, save filling up every 170 miles.
V85TT for me
Ducati for the looks, but the T7 for the real world
Love the Aprilia
I pick a bike that isn't on your list but should be as it is in the range you cover. The new CFMOTO 1000MTX !
" middleweight" just shut it allready. these are heavy bikes, not middleweight.
triumph all the way 🤘
CF Moto builds the best KTM in the market.
Honda and Yamaha , have no tubeless ??? but all the others offer them , no wonder they are loosing market share to the chinese , until then I will be sticking with my himalayn 450 .. Wake up Honda and Yamaha !!
I bought the new Tiger 900 Rally Pro a year ago and totally in love with the machine ❤ It can do everything well in a balanced way 👍
You are missing the best bike from the list AJP PR7.
It's interesting how the China effect is even beginning to effect the premium Italian bikes now
I tested the CF moto 1000 mt-x last month, I'm rather surprised not to find it on your list, I thought it was a fantastic bike for the price (€9,999 for the first month, now 10,999), but does need some software tweaking! The tech on it, beats all other bikes in it class imho
Going Adventure riding means going away from civilization where there could be very little cell phone coverage. Therefore I want the most reliable bike, so it's Yamaha all the way for me.
T7 Rally best by a long way of them all as long as your tall enough.
