I owned two gsxr1100 and a busa, all highly modified. Sold them when I got cancer. After years of chemo and the realization that I was in a losing game, I went and bought a Ducati monster. I love it.

Sportbikes are good secondary bikes. I have Hayabusa and a Sportster S. Even with the Busa being more “comfortable” than most sport bikes, my back still starts to hurt after 40 minutes or so.

I put 37,000 miles on a cbr600rr. Loved that bike. Then I bought a Honda Africa twin and rarely ever used my sportbike. I’ve traveled all over the country off-roading and have 55,000 miles on the twin. She’s my forever bike!

here in Brazil the roads suck and traffic sometimes get weird, adventure bikes allow you to negate holes, take shortcuts off road and sometimes shortcuts on the sidewalk or literally stairs

I own a BMW S1000 RR and a R18 for a couple of years now. Recently got a Tenere 700, it's amazing to be able to ride different bikes depending on my mood.

You need to have all 5 types: Commuter Sports Naked / streetfighter Adventure Classic

Having ridden most styles, it's a personal choice. I like naked bikes, I do have an adventure, but it is a 450.

If you back hurts after riding a superbike, then you are not riding it correctly. Me and many other people have done over a thousand kilometres on a superbike without everything hurting

Naked motorcycles exist & provide a perfect balance between both the formats. Mad performance when you want & touring friendly (sort of) for those long saddle hours

I own four bikes. 1974 CB125S that I learnt to ride on. 2004 CBR1000RR that I ride in the mountains. CRF300L Rally for on/off road duty. And now NT1100 manual transmission. I love them all. The need for speed never goes away, it’s just not necessary all the time as you get older. 😊 Ride safe guys.

I ride my bike for hours but for me if I sit up for too long my back will hurt, so for me leaning over actually feels better than an upright adventure bike position. I don't know might just be weird but just wanted to put my two cents in and share.

Im nearing to my 50. I had been riding bike for all my life. Speed was my god and i love it until to my 30s. Soon I realized if I want to continue with my bike I need to ride carefully and speed is no more what I'm chasing of

I used to have a Kawasaki Z1000 Sugomi. I'm 61, now prefer touring bikes, I can ride all day long from sunrise to sundown 😊

Would never swap one for the other or even sell because I buy what I love. All bikes are quite different and just as fun so they get added to the collection but will never go away.

I kinda went the other way... from ADV to Scrambler that feels like the average Naked bike, not regretting it yet, the way better handling is awesome!

Happened the same with me, here in he south of portugal, Algarve, I'm 65 now and went from (tge latest I had) bikes like the honda cbr1100xx, kawasaki zx12 and MV Agusta F41000R (this one for 8 years), reaching and maintaining speeds in our local highway (always almost empty) speeds above 300km/h (180mph) almost everyday, when going to work, 40km away from home, and I had fun oh yeah, but enough, after a certain point, you give up on speed, now I ride a honda NC750x full extras and the comfort is there with still a lot of (different) fun. Less dangerous, and I can go, as you said, everywhere 🎉
