Been on tracks for 20 years. I've had cars that i drove 100 time suddenly get screwy on me. Cars I've only drove 1 time run like a top. None of it is "easy". Each type of racing has different characteristics. Don't think so? Go drive on black top. Then drive that same vic on any other surface.
Umm yeah straight line is way easier lol you literally just keep the car straight even if you gotta fight the wheel a bit vs knowning how much speed and gforce your car is capable of during turns. There is a whole set of mechanics that goes into cornering that can cost or gain positions.
How about let off when the back bumper starts dragging on the track, better yet, invest in some wheelie bars!!!
Why in the world bows these car owners not have wheelie bars on their drag cars?! It would save them!

Being put down by the tires, I feel it's more dynamic, but in essence, when you're going in a straight line.You are cornering your just cornering straight
