I am shocked at the number of drivers who swerve left to avoid a collision. When I taught my daughters how to dive, I trained them to NEVER EVER swerve left to avoid a collision! Swerve right if you can, or just take your medicine and hit the other vehicle in the rear! I have a coworker who was nearly killed on a motorcycle when a driver swerved left into his lane.
Example #19 from Paramus, New Jersey shows the problem of lacking Lane Discipline. The crashed car was undertaking and tried to return to Lane 1 too soon because the car blocking Lane 1 was driving slightly behind the car in Lane 2. Stop undertaking and Keep Right Except To Pass!
