Well, she made the mistake of believing that she had to eat them all instead of just tasting him, which was the job
Easiest job ever. Bite, spit, check mark. Bite, spit, check mark.
her first mistake was eating the whole biscuit. He just said taste it.
I mean come on now... you really think you can eat thousands of biscuits and you still gonna love it... lol. I worked on a wine farm in 2002, and to this day, I cannot eat a fucking grape... just killed it for me lol. Overdosed on them during that 4 months lol
"The person who made that biscuit is taken out." Why was I waiting for him to also say "and shot"? LOL.
PHILOMENA WHAT ARE U DOING HERE??
I worked in a cake factory for a couple of months back in 1992. On my first day, I was told, "Any cake that comes off the line broken or damaged is yours and you can eat it." I said, "Does it matter how it got damaged?" They said, "No." So... I deliberately damaged some. By the end of that first day, I was sick to my stomach. Never touched a cake again for the rest of the time I worked there. Found out half way through, that was the whole reason for the "eat as many as you like" policy.
My mom told me a very similar story about one of her first jobs as a young adult, she worked in a mom-and-pop candy shop in her town and they had a similar policy. She got horribly sick by the end of the week because she'd eaten so much candy each day. I always thought, "Why stuff so much? Why not just bring plastic baggies and a knife with you? Cut of a piece to taste, then put the rest in the baggie, and save it for later or for giving to friends and family?" Her response was to smile and say "I didnt have that kind of willpower at the time."
British version of I Love Lucy - with biscuits instead of chocolates π
Worked at a steak house in my youth, ate ribeye daily. usually 2-3 times a day, from the off cut steaks. Never tired of it. Still miss it.
Thats like... 250 buscuits a day
She wasnβt tasting! At first she was eating and that was the reason she couldnβt βtasteβ anymore
Philomena doing sidequests is so perfect
Reminds me of the I Love Lucy bit
That's 250 per day. Assuming that is an 8 hour shift, that means one biscuit every 2 minutes. Most biscuits contain around 100 calories each, so that's 25000 calories just from biscuits every day. Obviously you will probably be eating a small bite so ~10 calories or 2500 per day if you swallow them. It makes most sense to spit it out, but who knows.
Not even chocolate digestives. These working conditions are abysmal
Theyβre just βtaken outβ π thatβs another 100 biscuits
It's weird how the whole world believes There's an actual job that you can taste biscuits
Lucille Ball skit , "I love Lucy", show 1950s
You take a single bite and have sip of water every few biscuits
