Crime 101 full movie ends on a note of mutual respect and redistribution. The bad guys (Mike and Sharon) get freedom, the good guy (Lou) gets his dignity (and a cool car), and the truly evil forces (the violent Ormon and the corrupt corporate/police systems) are defeated or circumvented. The ending suggests that sometimes, to find justice, you have to bypass the law entirely.

the part where the detective takes off with the gifted car makes no sense, the car is not registered to him, if he gets caught driving it and records show it belongs to the guy from the DNA he is done. also, what about the DNA sample ? it does not match the dead thief so how can he say it is the 101 thief? nice movie but too many holes

The title of this movie is pronounced Crime “One-Oh-One,” a play on intro college course levels like Phych 101 for example, and also a nod to the Los Angels highway, the 101, which is a prominent set piece in the movie, also pronounced One-Oh-One

I just watched this on Prime and that is not quite how the movie ends. There isn't a scene of Mike walking on the beach and no pic of Mike and Maya being sent to her. it's an old pic of three kids with James, Ben & Patrick written on the back. Are Hemsworth & Ruffalo characters brothers? who's the 3rd? Who does Maya work for? It seemed like she was a nanny/personal assistant type job initially, but by the end, does she work for gov't? or a startup? There's a ton that's left open
