I review, breakdown and explain Beef Season 2 Netflix. I discuss the show starring Oscar Isaac and Carrey Mulligan as Josh and Lindsay as their marriage begins to break down and also Ashley and Austin as their happy relationship begins to morph into one that’s centred around money and a life they could dream of. I react to the symbolism of the ants, the artwork, the deeper themes in the episodes and characters such as Chairwoman Park, Dr Kim and Eunice. I also give my theories and predictions on if there will be a Season 3. 00:00 Intro 00:47 Beef Season 2 Ending Explained 08:24 Beef Season 2 Review 10:58 Outro Subscribe for more videos like this! I mean…. Nothing will ever top Ali Wong and Stephen Yeun’s characters completely flipping out at each other and having… side quests… but S2 was also good.
I disagree that Austin's love with Eunice was a deep rooted love. As Eunice says, Austin doesn't even really know her. Austin is making the same mistake he accuses Ashley of making. He convinces himself he loves Eunice because he is using the idea of her to fill a gap in his life.
Austin and Ashley completely continued the cycle and became Joshua and Lindsay except with a kid.
Dawg...Austin wasn't "deeply in love" with Eunice lol. He was obsessed with the IDEA of this "perfect Korean girl", she's not even interested in him at all. Austin sees her as this ideal escape from Ashley and her neurotic stuff. He's just a puppy dog idiot who starts wagging his tail any time someone shows him attention or affection.
At the end I noticed Eunice was hesitant to tell Austin the she loves him back too, and when she said "love you too", it felt off. I feel like this also played a factor for Austin to go back to Ashley
I couldn't stand Ashley right from the beginning,
I don’t understand why nobody is talking about how Austin compromised his semen with hand sanitizers and still had a kid.
Releasing the ending explained the day the show releases is diabolical work lol
Is nobody curious about what happened with eunice? I think its probably safe to assume she was murdered but the show didnt tell us anything
I HATED that the dog killer Ashley got a happy ending or the ending she wanted...hated that character throughout the show
Oscar Issac has become a national treasure 🪙
This felt more like white lotus but Im here for it…
I loved it, would say its on the same level as season 1 just a different vibe, honestly pure art
Honestly I really enjoyed season 2 but it just didn’t feel like beef. It don’t even remotely touch season 1 but I still enjoyed it. Just felt like it coulda been another show instead of beef yk? The acting was phenomenal just like season 1 tho
Season 1 was an instant classic. Season 2 was good, but had a lot of cringery
The fact that the marriage fell apart after Burberry the dog died ( Burberry was a child for Josh and Lindsey) reflects how that in most marriages hit a big shift and some end in divorce when children move out of the home when they are grown or no longer present. Empty nest syndrome. Ashley and Austin are partially being held by their child by the end of the show. Some people stay in a marriage just for the children.
i didnt like this season... it kinda made no sense the main characters barely had beef they spent more time being friends? and the random big bad villain thing didnt really feel like a beef as much as a billionaire supervillain sort of thing.... idk i just feel like they couldve taken it somewhere way better
ngl i loved this season it ain’t like the first but it’s creative asf
Eunice doesn’t love Austin back LOL hello
Season two ending disappointment me so much I couldn’t stand Ashley this whole series and so did Austin. And he stayed with her despite all of his emotions he had with her? She has CRAZY issues and he stayed. Worse ending.
