Recently saw the movie. I had very low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was. However, I disliked who the villain turned out to be. That person turned out to be a weirdo villain's motivations for going after Sydney were weak
Honesty I wish they had recruited more people from the psychiatric hospital that wouldve really raised the stakes...and I wish the main killers had stronger ties to the original cast
It’s comforting knowing others have the same exact issues with the movie that I do. I enjoyed it overall but man… lol. I wouldn’t mind a Scream where we know one of the killers the entire time and they’re sweating bullets trying to conceal it

Scream 7 felt like if hallmark made a scream movie
The best thing they could have done was have Marco mistake Lucas for someone else and accidentally kill him then Jessica turns on him when she realises he killed her son.
Honestly, I liked Scream 5 and 6 better than Scream 7. Scream 7 felt like it was extremely low-budget. It had like 3 sets.
The van running over ghostface was probably a nod to the original Halloween 2 when a kid dressed like michael myers was run over as well.
I think McKenna and Chloe should’ve switched death orders. Both are great, but I think McKenna could’ve been a fan favorite had she lasted longer
I would have loved to get some info as to where Sam and Tara are and why the core 4 aren't together anymore. Mindy and Chad were extremely under-used and I didn't care about any of the teens. Also, Mindy and Chad having an argument about the breakdown was pretty funny, I liked that. It was... okay? I dunno, I'm going to wait for it to come to streaming and watch it again before I really form a final opinion.
*Couple big ?s.....who was the Ghostface that went to Woodsboro for the opening kill? Did I miss that part in the reveal? *Also- Somehow Stu Macher ends up in an Indiana psych ward..just randomly/conveniently close to where Sidney has moved? They couldn't suss that?! Bizarre! 😂
The Gale, Chad, and Mindy appearance felt like the Scooby Doo shit😂😂😂 like that arrival was just so uncanny

Great review! Agreed with pretty much every point! Surprised you don't have more subscribers. I think they need to bring Melissa back for 8, if she'll agree. Close out the arc with her mom being ghostface or one of them. She hates Sid because of her obsession with Billy and her daughters getting involved with ghostface. There were seeds of this in 5.
Saw Scream 7 in 4DX. Mixed feelings. Pros: brutal kills, intense cat-and-mouse tension, cool AI elements, fun Stu references. Cons: weak Ghostface motives, empty city scenes, AI idea could’ve been pushed further. Worth watching, but not top tier.
Chloe’s death reminded me of Trey Songz in Texas chainsaw massacre , ironically they had the showing in the movie 😂😂😂😂
