the killers were so nobodies was stupid.
The killers and motive didnt make me feel anything. It wasn’t personal enough. Plus both killers were barely in the movie. The friend group had no heart. I didn’t care whether any of the new characters lived or died as where the last 2 I was on the edge of my seat praying certain characters dont die and being heartbroken if they did. Tatum friends didnt have enough screen time for us to fall in love with them. Idk. I was a bit underwhelmed. Im a huge scream fan. And I of course enjoyed it. But I came out of the theater a tiny bit disappointed.
I can’t wait for Scary Movie 6
When the killer was revealed i forgot that guy was even in the movie…
Each time her other kids turn 17, we get a new movie
You made this movie sound more meaningful than it actually was. If the writers of the movie actually put any of this into the actual movie, then maybe it could have been good.
I ultimately enjoyed the movie. Though I feel the reveal could’ve been better, or at least had one of the killers actually have more screen time with Sydney. I need to see it a couple more times to get it
What if Stu was the one that burned and killed the couple in the intro of the movie ?
Scream 8 can be the last one… and NO Tatum doesn’t need her own film she wasn’t even likable in this one.
If you really weren't gonna bring back stu at least have the killer be the drama teacher for it to be his sick and twisted way of making tatem more like Sydney like he wanted for the production and that he sees redoing the trauma and death like the first movie a perfection of characters. Then you can add in things like he learned to use ai from being around the students and through his research he encapsulated Stu's personality to mimic him and involve the escaped patient because he wanted a second killer to stay true to the source. At least that's how I would've done it
This franchise is not safe with Spyglass
The kills in this movie were phenomenal, probably the best in the entire series! The killers, however, are the worst in the franchise. The tagline of “it’s always someone you know” is completely lost in this film. In the first film it’s her boyfriend and a member of the friend group, the next is Billy’s mom and a member of the friend group, the third is her long lost brother, and the fourth is her niece. 5 and 6 don’t count, but for the new film it’s 3 nobodies from a mental institution that Sydney has zero ties to. Sure one of them became a neighbor, but she’s barely there
They still never said what happened to Stu’s body so maybe he’s still alive somewhere and after Sydney called him out unintentionally, it would force him to snap out of hiding.
I liked the first 2/3 of this movie before the goofy ending and killers motives! I'm disappointed in the fact that Sydney has been Terrorized for over 30 years and doesn't teach her daughter how to fight or shoot a gun or defend herself in any way shape or form. As someone who self taught my woman how to use a firearm and how to box thats wild and stupid! Just my opinion.
I initially left the theater feeling like it was mid but after reflecting and letting it rest I feel like 7 is going to age incredibly well just like 4 did. It definitely feels a little ahead of it's time in this moment. Speaking of which, 7 feels like it could have been a direct sequel to 4, erasing 5 and 6 if necessary. I love that Sidney's book played a part in the motive.
Enjoyed it, the kills were gruesome, ok the ending and motive are a bit lacking but all in all an enjoyable romp
Screen Crush has never seen a mediocre franchise entry it didn’t love.
If u a scream fan u will enjoy it.. Unfortunately we dont have Wes Craven to put his touch on it but i was shocked in the end credits Courtney Cox was the executive producer..
You are my favorite man when it comes to reviews. Genuinely love how detailed you get. Much love
I would have been fine with just Scream one. As an old-school horror fan and raised on it, Scream one had a good spunk. I think if it was a solo movie, it would stand well in horror history.
