I am just back from watching one of the most impactful and moving horror films in recent times, and Hokum really took me by surprise. It might seem like another generic story about a man trapped in a haunted hotel, trying to escape a terrifying witch, but the deeper meaning is far more personal and unsettling. The narrative is neat and efficient, and the scary moments land perfectly, making this a well-executed horror movie. Personally, I am still in awe of the thought-provoking ending, when you finally get the context of what the witch represents in the story. Overall, it is a must-watch for all the horror fans out there, and in this video, I will break down the narrative for you, with an elaborate scrutiny of the climax and the entity. #Hokum #HokumMovie #Hokum2026 #HorrorMovies #neon

You still didn’t explain the ending, the last scene of the book where they have a circle around them and the goat skull right next to the bottle.
Can i ask something? The bunny man was the witch afterall?
My theory and hwar me out is that the only reason om could see the witch and qas so scared is becuase of the drugs jerry consumes that the bell boy snuck into oms whiskey as revenge and keep in mind he drank the whole thing witch would explain why mal dosent see the witch till the end not like om does and i beleive om see the witch more because hes on a really bad mushrooms trip but its what ultimately saves him from dying as i beleieve without jerrys drugs om wouldnt have been able to see the witch and wouldnt have made it out
Movie sucked, just left the theater
It’s not really complex, but overall ok movie
Dont see what the big deal is about this movie. No way will i EVER recommend this shit to ANYBODY
Rust on his wrists? Those are bruises/abraisikns.
I thought ‘Hokum’ is arabic for ‘order’ like a genie being ordered by its owner.
I love horror movies. But I had to say. This movie wasn't that great..Just my 2 cents
I have to rewatch …first viewing was kind of meh
WHAT THE HELL YOU DIDN'T EXPLAIN SHIT!?!?! THAT'S TIME I'LL NEVER BACK AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO A GOOD JOB EXPLAINING THE MOVIE
This was a great movie. The only weak part of the entire movie was fiona's death. It should've been explained more as the way she was found especially her face didn't make sense for a person who was supposedly starved to death.
I enjoyed this film, i just wish we got to see more of the witch and more of what she was doing in the basement
Lame.
When he is unscrewing the flat head to the secet door, why does he not notice the different head screw just below it in the lamps light. Yet he can solve the lazy waiter button with the clock
You keep showing the bunny man implying he is the witch, but he isn't. It's just a manifestation of his guilt.
Ugh they did the bate an switch with the scary guy with no nose or eye lids
Definitely a good watch. Jump-scares weren't predictable like in a lot of horrors these days.
How come Fiona wasn’t dragged and eaten by the underworld in the basement ?
I love these types of horror films as oppose to ones that are just slashers and depend fully on gore.
