“I hate Mark” 😂😂
Right now on my way back home from the movie. I've never seen anything more visually stunning and beautiful and colorful in the theaters, ever. I haven't read the book but loved every single moment of the movie. This is something that's going to be a comfort movie for an entire generation of people.
Please no sequels. It's such a great heart warming all round movie. It's perfect as is. And eneded beautifully.

The difference in the Iridians treatment of Grace vs Humanity is a big eye opener too; they built him a suitable home, try their best to provide him, and leave the door open for him to return home instead of forcing him to make a decision within a short timeframe, and he has his own specialized classroom to help teach Iridians about Earth. You can really tell that Rocky and the Iridians are eternally grateful for Grace's efforts and are willing to accommodate him in anyway they can, I really appreciate that kind of world building.
Wish it was a 10 hour mini-series so all the detail could be included.
Movie is a solid 9/10. Book is 100/10.
I hope they eventually release the directors cut with extra scenes because this was the fastest 2+ hour movie I’ve ever had the privilege of watching. Time flew by and they captured the spirit of the novel. I don’t want a sequel. I think it was perfect and let’s just leave it alone.
Quick correction of the "Me burgers" they don't make full sentient clones of Grace, kill them and he eats them. They just clones some meat from his muscles. Still a bit gross but not near as dark as this video makes out.
Great adaptation of the book, I just wish they put more emphasis on the lengths they went to on earth to make the mission happen.

Have to admit, the first time I teared up was Strat’s Karaoke song.
I took my older son to watch this movie yesterday, and we both ended up crying. This is exactly the type of movie we needed right now.
Nobody wants to talk about how the ship is called Hail Mary, and the main character is named Grace? "Hail Mary, full of Grace?"
I just realized Rocky relied on puppetry to communicate to Grace, when in reality, he is a puppet himself.
Best film I’ve seen since The Wild Robot, I really didn’t think anything would come close to that for a while, but the emotional attachment I felt for a faceless rock crab was profound.
I haven't heard of anyone else who noticed that the very last scene of this movie matches the very last scene of The Martian. Both end with the main character asking a question in a classroom, with arms/claws being raised by the students. I thought that was very cool when I first read the book!
Me burgers I can see why they did not include that in the actual film. Interesting though!
