Loved loved loved the movie. One line from the book that i really wished would have been in the movie is when Ryland goes back for Rocky, and Rocky says "You are here question" "you are here!" "you save me"
In the era of Hollywood crap, this was a very good movie. It was so nice to sit in a theatre and forget all about the things around me and get sucked into another reality for 2 1/2 hours! Chefs kiss!

A literal rock in this movie had a better performance then The Rock in any of his movies.

I saw this film today and I thought it was a beautiful story of friendship, love and loyalty in the face of impossible dangers. I laughed, I cried, I was hooked. It has to be one of the best films I've seen in a long time and I think I am going to go and watch it again tomorrow. Loved it

This film was such a pleasant surprise. Its been a while since I've enjoyed a movie like this.

Just saw it on IMAX today. I've read the book more than a dozen times so I know so much of the detail behind the scenes in the film. I absolutely loved it! Visually stunning, loyal to the book as much as it could be, a real adventure from start to finish.... I know there were characters and scenes which were not included because the film would have been 6 hours long otherwise, but the main characters are successfully portrayed and connect with the audience with humour and pathos. Now that I've seen it once, I want to see it again, and again, and again.
That is how scifi Movie should be done, great Movie
Just re-listened to the Audible audio book and the while the last chapter is somewhat somber, it's also hopeful. Grace knows the sun has been saved and he's teaching a new generation of aliens about parts of science they never knew about (radiantion, and other stuff). I'll be seeing the movie today and been told to bring tissues, just in case.
Just been to the movie. I really enjoyed it, Ryan Gosling fantastic as the main character he held my full attention during the story. Rocky is fantastic, you can feel he has been so lonely for so long. Then so excited by meeting Grace. It really is a story of friendship
