Really had high hopes for this but it fell into the usual tropes by the end
I feel bad for not watching videos when they come out but I just binge like 5 videos back to back
“If it’s something like please let the demon kill me @ hotmail” had me rolling 😂
Were have you been all of this time?
This movie was a great example of why some concepts should just stay short films instead of full-length features.
❤ Lots of love from Australia 🌏🦘❤
I actually loved this movie. Saw in a Dolby theater and the third act was extremely effective
I swear every horror movie I have seen this year feels like a creepypasta.......this one felt like that quality of writing
I saw this movie in theater, i nearly walked out multiple times
I'm a very sad man and in bad shape so I am having a hard time coming up with responses to videos and comments and I just pray that if this message reaches someone else that your life is better than ever and that you enjoy a long fulfilling life with meaning and positive human interaction.
My main problem with this is without the gimmick it’s just a bunch of elements we’ve seen a million times since The Babadook came out in 2014 and accidentally started the “elevated horror” trend. It’s got the “plagued by literal demons” trope, the “what’s real and what isn’t?” trope, the “Boo Haunted House as allegory for grief/trauma/guilt” trope, the “complicated mother/daughter relationships” trope, the “adult child dealing with elderly parent’s mental/physical decline” trope, the “family secrets” trope, and of course the “underwhelming/unsatisfying/unearned ending” trope. I’m sure there are more I can’t think of, but that’s just egregious. Even with the excellent sound design and a solid central performance there’s just nothing to recommend here, there are too many other movies that do what it does better.
26:15 I do wonder why it went to Justin & not Evy. It’s supernatural so “of course” it knew she was pregnant? Is it one of those “you gotta believe” demons? lol. Was mama dead this whole time or just after the death rattle? I don’t think she got it aborted because if she did shouldn’t all the hauntings stop?? The questions & ending keep me from liking it too much but it was entertaining & creepy throughout.
The audio is really off in this video, like you had a sibilance filter before and it’s now gone.
Dude, I literally came here to just know - what the fuck happened to Justin 😂😂
19:32 from San Diego... but has a basement?
It reminds me of why movies like The Blair Witch Project, Hereditary, or The Babadook hit for certain people. They weaponize atmosphere and implication. If you’re emotionally open to the tension, they crawl into your head. If you’re waiting for rollercoaster drops, you leave annoyed and ask where the “real scares” were while ignoring the fact your shoulders were tense for 90 straight minutes. Which is, inconveniently, the definition of suspense.
The horror equivalent of "blue balls"
Is the demon related to Pazuzu?
Haha. "Oh lets play this recording that I, oh ish a demon." You have an ability to take so/so movies and make them more interesting. Thanks for the entertainment and laughs.
Maybe the "sins of the parents" angle was applied to Evie for letting her Mom die so the baby was targeted?
