The crew dives into their full reaction, recap, commentary, breakdown, analysis, and spoiler review of Jon Bernthal’s return as Frank Castle following Daredevil: Born Again and ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, We Own This City), the special stars Jon Bernthal (The Bear, The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle / The Punisher and Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Daredevil) as Karen Page. The reaction heavily focuses on Frank’s grief over his family, his guilt over the violence consuming Little Sicily, and the special’s darker exploration of whether Frank Castle can ever truly stop being The Punisher. The hosts especially react to the stylized “Raid”-inspired action sequences, the apartment-floor shootout, the pen stabbing scene, the horrifying brutality throughout the special, and the emotional realization that Frank may finally be evolving from pure vengeance into a protector. Coy and Greg also compare the project heavily to comic-book one-shots and classic Punisher runs while discussing how this bridges the Netflix-era Punisher with the larger MCU. The discussion also dives deep into whether the special retreads familiar Punisher themes or successfully redefines Frank Castle’s purpose heading into the future of Marvel Studios storytelling. #Punisher #JonBernthal #Marvel #PunisherOneLastKill #DaredevilBornAgain #SpiderManBrandNewDay #MCU #MarvelReaction #MovieReaction #thepunisher PUNISHER: WAR ZONE (2008) MOVIE REACTION: https://youtu.be/F6VPUD_EU0A IRON MAN (2008) MOVIE REACTION: https://youtu.be/4eNvK8Ga75M DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN SEASON 2 EPISODE 7 REACTION: https://youtu.be/_5xN5QlQx9M 0:00 Checking in! 1:50 Punisher One Last Kill Reaction 27:15 HUEL 29:26 The Punisher Reaction Become A Super Sexy Reject For Full-Length T.V. & Movie Reactions! https://www.patreon.com/thereelrejects Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ RR Clips & Shorts Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ReelRejectsClips Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Supervising Producer: https://twitter.com/nerdchronic?lang=en Co-Editor: Greg Alba Co-Editor: John Humphrey Music In Video: Airport Lounge - Disco Ultralounge by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Follow & Listen to Us Wherever You Get Your Podcasts!! - Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3XHMwbveiznxSOGxN9XT0M - Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vc3Rhci13YXJzLXRhbGs - Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-reel-rejects-tv-movie-recaps/id1616339990 - Audible: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Apocalypse-Podcast/B08JJP58FG PLAYLISTS: Trailer Reactions & Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw9ZsLdoAQFpx38s2hhyFgDe Movie Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw-comtadVs8b9JsZEWHUyr8 Movie Talk (News, Spoiler Reviews, & Film Rumors!!!): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw8fPQ-21NVSb2IOwIiHbVt8 Youtube Video Reactions & Discussions: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_qwcPsN_vOxXC6IVzrOQYG

"i one saw him kill a guy in a coffe shop....with a pen... with a fuckin' pen"
Jon bernthal absolutely killed it as usual! The ending has me thinking we might be getting more with Ma Gnucci later on 🙏 (Also that Barry guy HAS to be Barracuda)
The dogs death was so sad, man! That ending was beyond satisfying!
spiderman's watching videos of mj on some skyscraper during all this 😂
This felt like a pilot to test the waters on possibly continuing the Punisher tv series. This was like episode 1 of a new storyline of him having one last kill in the Gnucci family left.
10:35 this is Jon's real life daughter, Addie, playing Frank's daughter. In season 1 of his show, it was a different actress
Greg makes it 45 seconds before he mentions his physique
definitely feels like its meant to be a full reintroduction to the character especially for those who haven't seen the netflix stuff. clear setup for a possible future movie or show too where hes now fully embraced into the punisher
John gave one hell of a performance in this special. It was incredible.
Incredibly powerful special! The storyline made me care about him even more and the performance was simply riveting.
I love how frank is still doing his thing but now it seems like he’s doing it to protect people rather than to make himself feel better.
Do you think One Last Kill successfully evolved Frank Castle beyond revenge… or was this still classic Punisher at his core?
Ma's lead henchman, "Barry", was 100% a short nickname for "Barracuda". Another top-tier Punisher villain.
The fact that this is Disney+ and lived in the same universe of the MCU is so insane!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
The big guy in the diner is an ex (retired) marine by the name of Cody Alford and is great friends with Jon bernthal! I thought that was a nice touch 🗣️
Honestly, to hell with all the over-analyzing and nitpicking. This was awesome to me. It was like a comic book single issue brought to life. Not all media needs to be a deep-dive-slow-burn-explain-everything type of story. They had a single narrative they wanted to tell and focused on it. Like a day in the life of Punisher. I think sometimes it's ok to appreciate good entertainment for what it is, not what we wish it could be.
These actions scenes where genuine and realistic. LOVED IT
I LOVE Marvel Special presentations! I hope they keep making more!!! 🔥💀🔥
I think this is a good reflection of how, for some people, PTSD and mental health issues linger. It can eat away at you, even after you've done some healing; it's waiting for you over your shoulder and in the shadows.
jon bernthal’s performance as the punisher looks awesome and look forward to spider-man: brand new day 👏🏻
