I'm Alanna - a thirty-something documenting my life as a Canadian living in England. I share the ups and downs of an expat living abroad and what it's really like living in the UK. It's not always easy, but there's been so many wonderful experiences, too. I post a Youtube video every Tuesday plus an additional video every Saturday on Patreon + YT Memberships. I also livestream every Wednesday and Sunday at 5:30pm GMT/BST on Twitch. Alanna x

As a general rule, most introverts who travel through life alone (but who are not lonely) are the most secure of people. Embrace that. 😊 Welcome to that club.
I'm a fairly outgoing 70 year old Yorkshireman who will stand and talk to anyone while I'm out but I couldn't walk around taking to a camera/phone, I would die. I think you are stronger than you realise.
For an introverted person youre a natural in front of the camera.I couldn't do it.❤😊
Being alone doesn’t mean lonely. Embrace solitude!!!!
Don’t be embarrassed, you’re an inspiration mate
Whether or not you know it or feel it you have made thousands of friends on youtbe who are always pleased to see you.
A fun British fact – it was a brit, Lily Langtree, who set the legal president for a woman to be allowed to dine alone in America when she sued a restaurant that refused to seat her without a male companion.
With you mentioning that you fish, have you ever seen the 1983 Yellow Pages advert, where an old man goes all over town looking for a book titled 'Fly Fishing by J. R. Hartley. Almost everyone in the UK loved this ad so much, that it ended up becoming an iconic classic.
Surprised your day out vlogs aren't more popular. They're my favourite vids that you do.
I'm a 52 male live on my own with my dog and as happy as Larry. I have one good friend who I see once a month for a few hours but I love it when it's just me and the dog.
I’m an introvert but I love making myself go to a nice coffee shop and sitting down, maybe with a book or by the window and people watching and having a drink or a meal
I’m 42 from England, introverted and have been single for many years and I prefer it that way. Too many people are fake or disinterested in having a deep conversation these days. I focus on my health, I cook and I enjoy going out exploring towns and cities.
All from an anxious introvert with nearly 200k subscribers doesn’t tell the whole story for us viewers. Most follow because it’s so refreshing and never confrontational, all the while wanting to buy you a drink to say thank you! 🎉
Not all who wander are lost, not all who are lost are lonely. I've recently started going to parties and music festivals solo, It works suprisingly well and if you do get lonley it's much easier to talk to people and even make freinds than in reglar IRL.
Im 46 and live alone with my two cats Mog & Kya. I’m off to the cinema Friday, by myself. I couldn’t be more relaxed. “I don’t hate people. I just feel better when they’re not around.” - Charles Bukowski

You do you and be safe young lady x
Nothing wrong with being an introvert, it’s these other people who think you’re being weird. They don’t understand why keeping to yourself is not a bad thing, they have this weird idea that “you need to socialize with other people.” We’re introvert, not a recluse, we socialize if we want.
A great sense of relief 19 minutes in. I misunderstood the vlog's title and was about to send you a message of support and love.
I'm also an introvert, and I stand in solidarity with you, Alanna!
