Fun fact(you have to read this Rusty so it’s fair) Quantum immortality refers to the existence of the 5th dimension and technical immortality of consciousness that comes with it. The 5th dimension usually refers to parallel realities. These realities are different possible states for the universe. If you could know every possible reality, it would be impossible to know which reality you were in. This is because there’s infinite time in which something different from your predicted reality can happen. Quantum physics says that anything can happen with small probability. This means even with the world’s most advanced supercomputer, it would be impossible to predict how the universe would unfold. Infinite realities means infinite possibilities. This is important because there’s a reality where you actually did something with your life. There’s also a reality where the grass you tried to touch quantum jumped with the nearest gaming chair(but I know it’s not this because you would never touch grass). This is also important because it causes a survivor bias where there’s infinite possibilities in which you don’t exist, but only you get the to experience the parallel realities where you exist. Quantum immortality states that death technically doesn’t exist for you. This is because you are the main character of your story. You can’t imagine what happens when you die, so your consciousness gets transferred to a parallel universe. There’s no way to tell where you may have a died in a different universe. Except, parallel universes can’t interact, meaning this is just survivor bias. For example, if a meteor crashes into you, there’s a parallel reality where a weather balloon was sent out a little bit earlier, causing you to learn the chance of rain earlier and stay inside. This means you’d be in that parallel universe. You’d outlive old age somehow, whether it’s through breakthroughs in medicine, or quantum physics rearranging proteins. This is also a horrifying concept, meaning that you’d stay in a mind that never dies, pure information held together by quantum physics creating a cage for it. Quantum immortality lasts forever, considering quantum mechanics can make anything happen. There will always be infinite universes where you’re alive. Of quantum immortality is real, that also means you’re in the 5th dimension instead of the 4th dimension(or 3rd spatial dimension). There’s no way to prove this though, because parallel realities live on different planes of existence. If you tried to explore outside the universe, either it would be infinite, it would be a 4d shape impossible get past, there would just be no space or time, instantly making you not able to move in spacetime, effectively erasing everything, or there’s some special thing like the 11th dimension that would instantly unbind your consciousness and matter into the most fundamental particles/transform you into an after affect of that thing, meaning you’re never the same person/thing and the quantum immortality cycle begins again. There’s thing is, there’s no sphere universe(unless you where in the parallel reality where there is one), meaning you can’t just travel to another parallel reality, and if there is sphere universes, those aren’t parallel realities, just clusters of celestial bodies containing thousands to septillions of superclusters.
