bro, a lot of my friends like to draw in a lot of them can draw better than me not like by a mile, but still better than me. The only real difference is that I never watched a singular tutorial so I just continued to draw until I forced myself to get good

He's the thing that I wish more people recognized tho, that ABILITY to grow from effort, is also actually something you can be set with or not have. 1 person can study 5 hours a day for a month to get only a B, while another could study ten hours total and get 120% with bonus questions. People aren't born WITH talent, but they ARE born with or without advantages and disadvantages TO said talents. The best example of those, is the big RIP to all the kids growing up with ADHD hearing "if you'd just APPLY yourself-" as they are actually doing 20x the work that should be. 😢😢😢 But that's not to discourage the point of effort....it's the opposite. Sometimes you gotta realize your working EVEN harder than hard to get places,and your efforts are astounding even if you don't feel like you're getting far ❤❤❤❤ whoever you are reading this, I'm freaking proud of you dude. Keep slaying it ❤😊

Being smart isn’t about the secret talent and being a know it all, it’s about putting in the effort, being the one people look up to. Same thing goes for drawing, not everyone is born with talent, they’re born with the dedication and effort to make the talent.

When tou put it that way, the two suddenly feel a lot more connected. Like, our imposter syndrome at least partially influenced by how we as a society see skill as something you are born with; a god given talent; instead of something you have to work for, making us prone to viewing our own effort as cheating, rather than hard work.
