RBTs and Drug swabs are standard in 🇦🇺, very effective in reducing road tolls. It's a minor inconvenience, massive impact.

Also, if you didn't know, you are permitted to ask for the tube you breathed into because it has your DNA (saliva) on it. If you don't want it, just watch and make sure the officer afterwards disposes of it, most will just throw it into a garbage bag with other trash

Idk why the US doesn't do this instead of the stupid field sobriety tests which are a waste of time and resources...way to much effing around for something so simple I've had American friends in the car during a breatho stop and they go nuts ...rights ... amendments Yada Yada ....I'm like guys ...less than 30 seconds and it's done

I haven't seen a blow breathalizer since they phased them out here more than 10 years ago. I didn't know other parts of the country were still using them.
