Driver faces $150 fine after being filmed in dedicated Auckland bike lane | Stuff.co.nz
A car has been filmed driving inside a barrier-protected Auckland cycle lane, a move transport officials described as a serious safety risk that put cyclists and scooter users in danger. Auckland Transport (AT) said it was very disappointing to see a vehicle using the dedicated lane on Ian McKinnon Dr in Eden Terrace. The video was posted to social media on Saturday and appeared to show the car travelling behind the lane's physical barriers. Drivers who used cycle lanes could face a $150 infringement fee, AT said. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stuff NZ is New Zealand’s essential news source — bringing you live, lively and trustworthy journalism from every corner of Aotearoa.
