You've reached the end
130 is the "limit" absolutely no cops there except in towns and by roadhouses
Makes sense, driving upside down with no limit seems dangerous
That "speed limit" is from Australian wildlife, because no cops waiting on emptiness road. If you don't slow down, kangaroos will.
" AUSTROBAHN " 😭🙏🥀 " EDIT " : TY guys for these many likes
Road with Limit = Road Road without Limit = AUUUDDDOOOOBAAAAAAAN
Having travelled that road, and been driving at 160 km'hr (100 m/hr). I rounded a bend to find 2 large cows standing in the middle of the road. Needless to say, I slowed down..
It ain't illegal if no one's watchin
It's not just the Kangaroo's that will get you. There's camels, wild donkeys, wild horses, wombats (solid as a lump of concrete), emu's, eagles, (eating the dead animals left behind after the trucks go through overnight), and wandering cattle. All of which have free roam across the road. Plus the Road Trains...
Should come back ngl
The speed limit is your risk tolerance...
spotto would have loved this
The best part was, before you went to the “Autobahn” you’d probably go to Autobarn
I do remember a time in Australia that outside of the town limits that provided you could demonstrate you were driving in a safe manner, you could do any speed you wanted.
We had a couple customer cars that used to run in the cannonball run. There was a massive accident with a ferrari and officials that cancelled the race forever.
Seems like the road just needs some automated wildlife deterrent turrets
my dad did this ride on his motorbike and the only car that overtook him was a toyota camry of all things
Well, they wouldn't have to worry about accidents, as certain sections of highway have no fuel station, so going fast and gulping every last litre of fuel and getting stranded on the outback with the deadliest animals on the planet would be enough to deter most drivers
130 km/h is pretty generous anyway
Driven on this road before on the way to Uluṟu ( the massive red rock in the video) and there’s practically nothing out there except for a few roadhouses or rest stops like every 500-600kms so you can basically go as fast as you like as there’s nothing stopping you and nothing to crash into so the only threat is I guess rolling. 150ks was the fastest I went( with a fucking trailer)
FH3 ahhhh memories...
