You've reached the end
1 inch parking You got skills
You might want to tell the other guy he has a Hub leak. And that's no different than being sent to construction sites where there's Jagged stuff sticking up out of the ground and then getting blamed when your side walls get chopped to crap.
As soon as he climbed under it, I went “Oh he’s young”. Which makes that reverse job even more impressive
Needs some rollers like the drive through car washes have
They want you to line it up with the door. Too many drivers absolutely need those funnels to center their trailer.
Shippers and receivers wouldn’t have to build those in if drivers knew how to back up properly.
I've been down to the Coca-Cola plant down in auburndale Florida, and they have a very similar setup. I actually like that. That way I know I'm fully centered in the door without question. Going to rub tires anyway on curbs and whatnot. Ain't no way not to in some cases.
That’s the point of that dock cause people won’t put it on straight so they fix the problem some put metal rails to guide you onto the dock and I’m pretty sure there’s other systems out there to force you to put it straight onto the dock
Its a dumb design but they did it to force people to line up properly
I've worked in a warehouse where some items were so big, you had to be perfect in the door otherwise it wouldn't fit
Looks like the dock at Atlas Cold Storage in Atlanta back in the day. If you got the short end of the straw, there was a set of docks that was impossible to get into without blindsiding.
“You really have to be perfect” - Pretty sure that’s the point.
The people that designed those curbs must be the same people that designed the curbs in BRYAN Texas
Great job backing.
The trailer in the next dock looks to need a wheel seal
Ok, What YEAR was this place built in? Cause 1980s and earlier. Trailers were Thinner and shorter. in 1980s and earlier Trailers were only 8 feet wide and even earlier 1960s and earlier they were 7.5 feet wide. Roughly around the end of 1980s Trailers got wider to 8.5 feet and 9 feet wide. But the Standard is 8.5 feet. They were also Shorter back then too between 35 to 40 feet long. Now a days we are at 50 to 53 feet long as Standard size for a Trailer. There are Alot of Buildings/warehouses that still exist today and still up and running today with Bays that have VERY limited space for these trailers. IE barely fit. Some had to be Modify over the years to accept the new trailer sizes.
You got skills, sir. I couldn't park my car that close.
It’s for automation inside the plant. Truck has to be perfect center for robot forklift to load the trucks.
Looks like the docks at Pepsi in Tulsa
That hub leak tho 😮
