Strengthening Youth Leadership in Forest Restoration and Climate Action
FAO elearning Academy (https://elearning.fao.org/) Lizet Mejía, an Environmental Engineer and young climate activist from the Peruvian Andes, shares her experience with the FAO elearning Academy. Through the AIM4Forests Young Forest Champions programme, she discovered the platform and completed two courses on forest data institutionalization and forest and landscape restoration. These trainings strengthened her technical and leadership skills, providing practical tools for ecosystem restoration and community-based conservation in the Huascarán National Park region. The FAO digital badges enhanced her professional credibility and supported new opportunities for collaboration, allowing her to share validated knowledge with youth and rural communities. Lizet highlights the value of these free, multilingual courses for students and professionals across Latin America and encourages other young people to explore them to foster collective learning and more resilient landscapes. © FAO: http://www.fao.org Subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=FAOoftheUN Follow FAO on social media! * Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/UNFAO * Instagram - https://instagram.com/fao * LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/fao * TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@fao * Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/fao/ * Weibo - https://www.weibo.com/unfao © FAO: http://www.fao.org #SDGs #Agenda2030 #GlobalGoals
