Another sign: they expect you to respect them in the best way possible but they don't respect you even as a fellow human being. I recently ended a friendship because the person couldn't even bring themselves to apologise for disrespecting me so harshly
Thank you for the confirmation. I recently received a return call from a friend who ended the relationship very harshly. She even blocked me. I accepted her, forgave her, and worked on my value. I set boundaries. After healing, I find she is not a safe place to be and politely and proficiently said I think you need to be with people who you can work with and be happy." I decided that I would exercise boundaries where I feel supported, not tolerated. I can feel the same pattern from her as she hasn't healed from trauma. Yes, it's a hard decision. The first one on my life is standing for myself. No toxicity .
"It's a compliment that feels like poison." That's an interesting take on things. I can resonate with that!
Yup! I nipped that ‘friendship’ in the bud more than a year ago and I feel free from that narcissist. I have No friends now but I have peace!!! 😊
"You have to stay small enough so they can tolerate you" perfect line. Feeling like your being tolerated rather then appreciated and respected is not a vibe. I never realized how much people hate on each other until I started caring for my life and bettering myself. I don't get it. Such a lose lose position. Stay below others and not improve and your being tolerated or disrespected, try and become better and even take advice given and follow through on it and now your getting sabotaged, dealing with much heavier manipulation, constant drama and side eyeing x1000, getting hated on even though you used to put others first. Man I don't understand how people become so toxic and don't see a problem even after confronted and escalate the situation even further.

Thank you thank you again!! Applies to 'family' too.... so sadly. I'm 58 and I've still yet to understand / fathom why people can't be happy for another's success.
I’ve a friend who’s words is wrapped in sugar but laced with shade. It’s like she’s not really asking out of interest or support, but more to poke holes or bring you down a notch.
Conditional for sure. I seem to have spent my whole life being a pleaser. So, when no more arose, they let me go.
Back handed compliment is a sign of passive aggression.
Love the subtle pouring of the drink and handing it over to us at the end. Feels like a welcoming gesture.
Yep that is when you walk away no matter how long the friendship was. When it begins to steal your peace within run. 🏃
I always think: It's not a compliment if you're so surprised.
Thanks for the tea I think no one appreciated that
Happy New Year and new friends everyone!! 🎉🖤
I was JUST asking my friend why he's been acting avoidant the past few days, and now I feel worse bc I think whatever is bothering him might be my fault.. I'll update when we settle it
My friend tends to try and guilt trip me when I say no to doing something/going somewhere... I'll keep thinking about it but it might be going south
This is why I cherish my current friends. Our circle of friends may seem small but it's not toxic, rather it is through them that I learned that it's alright to say no and it's because of them that I'm striving to be the best version of myself. Thanks for this video! I will remember this signs when I made other new friends and know who are the people who are genuine to me like my friends now❤
Bro her videos show up directly relating to what I'm going through 😅
My supposed best friend left the country without seeing me or saying goodbye before she left. I miss her dearly but I started to feel worthless, like she was my best friend, but I wasn't hers. She'd never think to include me in things or take any initiative. The worst part was that everything felt great when we were together. We always had a laugh and a great time, but it felt hollow in hindsight after she moved. The worst part was that a girl I worked with (who knew her for a lot less time than I did) met up with her to hang out before she left. She made time for her. I have no friends now. It's making me anxious about my wedding because I'll have my grandparents, mam, sister and aunt and uncle. That's it. I'm embarrassed it reflects poorly on me having no friends, but at this stage I'm content with being alone. I'll happily devote my friendship and love to my fiancé and dogs/cats I'll adopt along the way ❤ Other than that, it's the lonely artist's life for me.
