Matt Walsh should write an entire guide to dating. Step one: "On the first date, make sure she knows what a woman is."

My wife and I actually did what you said when we met. One of the first things we did was explain what we were looking for and discussed our values beliefs and goals. Here i am now, 27, married for 5 years and currently at 4 kids.

As a 19 year old female, I fall into the gen z generation and dating sucks when you're a young christian that believe dating is intended to find the person you want to marry. hook up culture is a disease, and I feel like I'll probably have to date someone much older than me if I ever want to find someone who is suitable to be a husband. Edit: thank you guys for all the nice comments and advice. To update y’all (even though you didn’t ask for it 😂) I actually have a boyfriend now lol. We’ve been together for 3 months now and I think he’s the one. He’s a God fearing man and honestly he’s everything I’ve been looking for and more. Nothing a little prayer and patience won’t do.

EVEN IF she gave actual good advice, as soon as she says "stay woke" I'm gonna instantly forget what she said and that she ever existed

Regarding the last woman: As my husband says "feminism is nothing more than women putting on suits and imitating the worst behavior of men". Gee, thanks ladies 🤦♀

My husband and I talked about kids, roles we wanted in the home, religion...everything about 6 weeks into dating. We got engaged 6 months in. 12 years and 3 kids later, still extremely happy in our marriage.

My husband asked me on the third date: “what are you looking for in a relationship?” I said “I’m looking to get married.” He married me 🥰

I dated a man at 22 who told me he was Catholic, wanted marriage and a big family… all because I told him that’s what I wanted. It was a lie on his part. And I had to figure it out… the first girl wasn’t totally wrong imo. Some people are liars and traditional courting and honesty just places you in their claws

“I can’t believe we both have a sister.” No one would ever say this in a real conversation

That first woman is the picture perfect model of a woman that just goes on dates with guys for free food and drinks for a few weeks to get that “vibe check” and then talks about men manipulating women and that’s why she’s single 24/7

Wow I did it really wrong. I met a guy. We were friends and got to know each other. Eventually we started dating because we genuinely liked each other and respected the other person. Dated, bought a home, got engaged, marriage, acouple kids. We have been together for over half our lives and still going strong. I must be an idiot!

Married for 37 years- never used any of these cheap tricks. Relationships are not a game and if you’re going to approach them that way you’ll be alone forever.

“Dating” has turned into how to manipulate another person to get into bed with them, not finding a life long partner. Example: I remember a dating advice I was told in Middle School was to never talk about your religion and politics. Now that I’m in a stable marriage with a child… I realize 99.9% of these “advices” are garbage and harmful.

I mean, as a married woman, I have to say that the first girl wasn’t entirely off base. There are people, sad to say there are a lot, who do try to meld themselves into what you want in a person, because they are narcissists and manipulators. It’s not always very evident at first, but later on it becomes apparent who they really are deep down. Rather than waste time on these people, let them show you who their unadulterated selves really are. That being said, you should also be on the same page religiously, politically, and financially from the start in order for a healthy relationship to continue. So, like I said, she’s half right and the other half just comes from a little lack in life experience.

Can we give some props to Matt's editing team? They're killing it recently, the Joker reference had me laughing out loud 😁

I think the thing that interests me the most is how almost all of these videos on advice come off as a game plan for a competition. Like dating and affection has to be wrapped in with war and victory. It can’t just be an opportunity to enjoy time with someone you really like, there has to be this precursor of distrust and suspicion to the point that it doesn’t even really feel like dating it’s like a game you’re trying to play with somebody with unspoken rules. No wonder modern dating is a shit show.

Wow, my wife broke all that advice 12 years ago when we met. We were friends for about 6 months (*gasp! The outrage!) before I very predictably asked her out, she being pretty much the very first woman I ever dated. I KNEW she was what I wanted. And she knew me well: If I ask her out, I want to marry her. She dressed, and still dresses, in a very feminine, but very conservative way and I think it's so gorgeous I can barely stand it... We were married for 10 years in April and have two amazing kids. Yeah. Getting relationship advice from these tik-tok people is like asking a homeless drunk for advice on your business plans.

I can honestly say that after have been married,in a loving, trusting, relationship for over 29 years. The dating advice these GIRLS give is utter bs. Please don’t listen to a single one of them.
