"A Slazenger 7 Doesn't Lie" | Goldfinger 1964 β The Golf Cheat Showdown β³π©π Description: A shilling a hole. A gold bar on the green. And a villain who thought his mute manservant could win him the game. π¨ In Goldfinger (1964), Bond (Sean Connery) has tracked the gold-obsessed smuggler to Stoke Park Golf Club . The match starts friendlyβuntil Bond drops a Nazi gold bar onto the green . "I should think 5,000 pounds is enough to add interest for the last two holes?" π° Goldfinger's eyes light up. He accepts. The cheat is clever. Bond is cleverer. On the 17th, Oddjob (Harold Sakata) drops a replacement ball down his trouser legβplanting it in the rough so Goldfinger avoids penalty . Bond's caddy suspects: "If that's his original ball, I'm Arnold Palmer!" But Bond's foot is already covering Goldfinger's real Slazenger 1 . The swap is sleight-of-hand. On the final green, Goldfinger sinks his putt and smirks. Bond points down at the ball: "You play a Slazenger 1, don't you? Well, thisβis a Slazenger 7." π― Goldfinger's face falls. Bond's voice is ice: "We're playing strict rules. So I'm afraid you lose the holeβand the match." The lesson? Never cheat a man who's already holding your lost ball in his pocket. And never underestimate the man in the grey Aston Martin DB5. ππ¨ If you love Bond's cold brilliance, Oddjob's crushing grip (he pulverizes the ball with his bare hand), or just want to watch the most expensive round of golf in cinema historyβhit play. π¬πΏ π Watch Bond beat the villain at his own crooked game! #JamesBond #Goldfinger #SeanConnery #007 #GoldfingerGolf #Slazenger7 #StokePark #AuricGoldfinger #Oddjob #ClassicCinema #SpyMovie #IconicScene #UnderratedScene #MustWatch #ShortsFeed #ViralClip β³π©ππ¬πΏ

Miss the old movies, when they would defeat their evil nemesis with a game of golf
I love old movies like this, ambient noise in the background, clear as day voices
One of the Best BOND movies EVER
Ah, the old βstand on the ball and hold a different ballβ trick. Classic Bond.
The guy who played odd-job was a really nice man.
In the film he swaps Goldfingers ball for the Slazenger 7 then lets him win. Strict rules of golf meant that since Goldfinger was playing with the wrong ball he forfeit the game.
That's some insane rough just off the fairway!!!
Now those were real movies and actors! Damn, now I have to rewatch all the Connery Bonds... π
The fact that everything is real is why we love it! No CG or fake backgrounds!
OK, OK I'll watch Goldfinger again!!
Id like to think that 007 gave that caddy goldfingers check as a tip setting him up for instant retirement. Bond didnt care for the money he just needed to bait Goldfinger and he did.
SEAN CONNERY WAS THE BEST JAMES BOND EVER.
My favorite Bondπβ€
Best Bond in my opinionβ¦ Sir Sean Connery β€
Best bond script and film, best bond, best villian, and best villains bodyguard....
Caddy is Harold Sakata, aka professional wrestler Tosh Togo. This movie made him more In demand.. and made much more money.. as a wrestler.
trumps golf teacher
"Ah. .. ah"
At least with old movies you can hear the people talk, unlike modern movies where you have to have your tv on max volume.
Gerd Froebe is magnificient in this. One of the greats.
