I love the clicky doohickey noises of the website
Figma balls. I almost wanted the video to suddenly end there, as if the whole thing had been leading up to that joke.
I may have missed the golden years of the internet, but I love that people are looking to create a balance between the creativity that was there before to freely express interests and information on personalized pages, but mixing it with more modern touches, it's great.
I’m a software engineer that was just asked to provide a complete refresh of our main internal website. I absolutely love your approach and design. I’m not sure my team would approve of the cutesy feel, but personally it’s a breath of fresh air. Thank you for taking time to make this video :)
warm thank you to Milanote for sponsoring another one of my videos!! hehe 🐱✌️sign up for free and start your next creative project: /shar0325
I think your website is great, and I specifically like the way it combines both "modern" and 2000s design aesthetics! It's refreshing to see a website that isn't so corporate and bland
ur site is so cute 😭 and what a lovely blend of talking about modern webdev and your passion for design/old internet :') u have such a charming way of discussing and animating these topics!! :')
hey it me, pham here shar
As a web developer myself, this is very interesting to watch. I'm technically employed as a "application developer", who just so happens to be working on a Web application. For my team, functionality is the focus of the website rather than the design; we specialize in database design and api implementation. It always surprises me to see the difference between application developers, and web developers/designers. You'd be amazed how few "web developers" know intermediate HTML and CSS- yet you show excellent mastery of both, and your website looks so fun! Most of my team relies on frameworks and CSS libraries to make our sites look presentable.
I've learned a lot more about personalized web development from this video alone than my whole time in university doing a bachelor's in CIS. The way you condense the concepts into digestible pieces of information to build on is something we need more of, especially in spaces where it can feel obfuscated, overwhelming, and ultimately less fun. Also your passion for making these videos shows so loud and clear that it feels as though I'm watching someone's personal adventure and makes even more fun to learn from. This was really good!
Fully expected this to be a "sponsored by wix" kinda thing but this was so cool!
Oh my gosh I love how scrunked your website was!
old websites havee soul
As a university student who's been very uninspired for almost 5 years, this feels like a breath of fresh air. It feels like people don't do things for fun anymore, or at least they don't go "out of the box" with things. Everything feels so standard, everything needs to be so efficient and fast and modern. It feels like I've been taught that everything that is successful needs to have no personality, no passion behind it, it just needs to be efficient. This inspired me so much, you have no idea. Thank you so much.
the fact that you include accessibility in your process is so so so so sooooo good. thank you for keeping people with disabilities in mind.
your website is actually what i've been looking at the most for my own personal website, and the idea of coding everything from scratch stressed me out. so learning more about libraries makes the project feel much more achievable than before.
Thank you for taking the time and explaining gently. A lot of people want to be loud and flashy about the creative process and that makes it incredibly difficult to learn. Your gentle, calm, and soft energy is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your process.
I don't do any drawing or animating, but your videos are so calming that they're nice to relax to
Real jumpscare is at 5:58, never expected that from shar lol
