I totally agree. In my case i almost has 1 year of experience as a SOC and i have done several Soc analyst certs like SAL1, BTL1, CCDL2, HTB CDSA, Lets defend web attacks & detection, etc. also i took GRC mastery and now i am doing EJPT. by doing this, my understanding of cybersecurity general landscape has grow up. i understand things better, how attacks achieve their goals and how to be better defender by thinking like attacker ( i know i have to learn more about this) , GRC mastery teach many things like for example what criteria enterprise apply to face a risk, why are those controlss important to the business, etc. By following this channel advice, i am in the industry now and i keep advancing. Best regards to all.
After 1 year i will come back and tell you how I did Remember me. ❤
Personally, I study cybersecurity as a hobby because it stimulates and enriches me much more than any other entertainment or empty knowledge, that feeling of knowing that one way or another you benefit equally
Remember me, I'll back in 1 year and keep you updated
What a great video! Loved your work! Starting my cyber journey with google cybersecurity. Talk to you in 6 months, will focus on being generalist. The best job is the one you can land first in cyber. I will remember that from other video.
My dude! Thank you!!!!! I will start tomorrow(5/4/2026) and update you in about a year!
Thanks for the roadmap. I've already completed the Google Cybersecurity course, then obtained the CompTIA Sec+ certification, and I'm currently on the SoC Level 1 path at THM. It's true, I've had interviews and been rejected, but I've identified my weaknesses and areas for improvement. I'll keep improving and learning; one day I'll achieve it.
I trust in you because of your experience as cybersecurity professional. Besides you offering value, in a friendly way, to the community through insights. I like this video.
I am not in the place to work in this field but I am interested in cyber security for my own knowledge and safety
I started my journey 4 months ago focusing on cloud security and building projects. After coming across your content and doing GRC Mastery, it opened up so many options and possibilities to me. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I have reconsidered to target for GRC roles. This has made me realise I can also apply those cloud security skills in GRC with much better context to a business. Cheers😁
Alright computer magic man, I'll do the work, I'll take the steps, somebody remind me to come back in a year to share my experience
I have a Computer Science degree, I have worked as a Full Stack developer for 6 years, then I have become a Team Leader, and now I'm an IT Project Leader. Lately the work politics have changed (in a bad way), I feel I will be laid off because of it... I think it's my time to move to cybersecurity, I was always interested anyway. Thank you for the roadmap! I will come back to this comment, when I land a job in cybersecurity!
I've done the IBM Cybersecurity Analyst professional certificate which contains 14 courses! Yet I don't feel like I got what I needed and it didn't level up to my expectations I will assume I have 0 knowledge and start over with the Google certificate following your plan.. Coming back to this comment once I land my first job 🔥
I was applying on linkedin and brother came and land the roadmap , thank u abed hamdan sir.
Listen to this man he knows his stuff!!!
Magnificent video!
First guy who's words are making sense Thanks
Thank you for putting video out. Already started Google certificate course. Transitioning from IT project manager and internal auditor to cybersecurity.
