As an autistic woman, I could tell instantly that these were not just spoiled kids. I think neurotypical people should learn the signs that someone might have autism, especially a child. Some of these signs can be rocking, covering ears, inconsolable crying or screaming, hair pulling, or head hitting. These are some of the most common stims for autistic children and adults. It's important to understand that autistic peoples brains do not work the same as someone without autism. Someone with autism might see something small, like switching between tasks or a loud sound, incredibly distressing. Before you can help disabled people, you need to understand the disability. So please, I encourage everyone to do more research and to learn, to help make the world just a little more accepting towards autistic people.

They don’t “deserve to be in a normal classroom”, they deserve to be somewhere where they can actually learn and benefit, even if that means they miss out some highly unlikely social time with other kids Edit: A lot of the people commenting under this are or have dealt with more manageable people on a lower level of the autism spectrum, but the kids in this video are covering their ears, screaming, and peeing themselves in public and paying 0 attention in class because they’re physically unable to learn without individual adjustments. In this specific film, it’s clear that they improved once the mother accepted that trying to pass them off as normal needs wasn’t working and they improved once they got the help they needed.
In a normal classroom with other kids? Hell no. That’s how you don’t get the help you need. Unless they can assign him a special teacher who also sits in in the same classroom

I love how this clip shows that children with autism can learn just like neurotypical people. The problem with accommodating them in a regular classroom is that there is NO time for the special attention they need. It is not fair to the children with autism or to the neurotypical children. Special Ed classes should come back with teachers who are specially trained to give these children the help they deserve.
I have a friend who has an autistic daughter and she refuses to accept it. She wants her daughter to go to a regular school and not to an specific one. The girl doesn't even speak.
