Everyone in the comments defending the student are idiots, this kid killed any trust that teacher might have in the next kid that actually needs help, he was on his phone during class, and the fact that he had the audacity to lie right to the teachers face while trying to guilt trip him even after beibg exposed shows so much disrespect its insane, turn off the phone, you can live without it for the time it takes to pass the class, kids lucky that he's getting it back after school instead of them making his mom come and get it

Most realistic depiction of highschool students . They lie constantly and will throw you under the bus for fun. They have zero understand or capacity for empathy. When i was teaching I used to be fun but eventually i developed a rule "if its fun, then its banned, and you get a referral". The students made me jaded and miserable
