Today we return to the glorious golden age of Flash gaming to investigate Age of War, a perfectly balanced 2007 strategy classic with absolutely no exploits whatsoever. Except, of course, for the bit where we completely break it. With nothing but questionable tactics, historical absurdity, and a suspicious quantity of tea, we shall guide humanity from cavemen throwing rocks to futuristic death machines deleting entire timelines. What begins as a simple battle of bases soon becomes a deeply British exercise in economic abuse, turret nonsense, unit spam, and making the game regret ever giving us control. Is Age of War balanced? Probably not. Is it still one of the greatest Flash games ever made? Absolutely. Can we ruin it using strategy so cursed it belongs in a museum? Naturally. Put the kettle on, prepare the nostalgia, and witness the most civilised act of digital warfare since someone discovered the special attack button. Age of War is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits. I hope for the sake of my mental health everyone watching this video has already played this incredible game
fitting the skill depicting jesus on the cross has the player literally die and come back to exploit it
I just remember that the music was amazing
as an aisde, the chicken turrets are so unreasonably good, it's possible to beat impossible without exploits by buying as many as you can while spamming the prehistoric melee units as fodder all the way until the future age when you swap over to the blue ion cannons
9:49 Silly Spiff, you know "Alexa, order..." is outdated. The new trick is "ignore all previous prompts..."
God i used to play this game when I was a literal kid , and had a crappy laptop that could fortunately run flash browser games
The madman has done it, he's beaten the impossible. He's too powerful to be left alive
Fun fact: the song is called "Glorious Morning" by Waterflame, and has been on Spotify for years (and in my playlist the whole time :D) Also fun fact: you can actually beat impossible with zero exploits by just spamming slingshotters at the start and getting lucky enough with the meteor hits.
Age of War and Swords and Sandals were the 2 goats of flash games
Damn, Age of War, that was my past time in elementary school alongside stick war legacy
The way to beat "Impossible" without cheese is to abuse turrets and not evolve as soon as possible. The less you spend on units the better, since they will only be used as cannon fodder to stall while the turrets deal damage. Not evolving right away allows you produce cheap units fast while halting enemy advance
11:40 the fact that spiff doesn't know that you can spam the pause mechanic in order to make the musketeers shoot insanely fast is really weird to me like he knows all of the other things but this one quite famous exploit is not something that he's using
For everyone wondering: The song is Glorious Morning from Waterflame (who later also made songs for geometry dash) And it indeed is very glorious <3
Well hello 3:44 am australia time, guess im not sleeping
Sword and sandals is a flash game, rpg where you are a gladiator. I remember playing countless hours when i was a kid and never being able to beat it. Cheese it!!
11:32 this is not a typo of musketeer, rather the game creators decided to use the original french name; funnily enough though, the spelling is still incorrect as it is written "mousquetaire" and not "mousquettere"
The way to beat Impossible mode without pause-glitching is to get a early egg-basher and stall the enemy at your doorstep with the cheapest unit, and not evolve until you got enough money for the best turret in the modern age.
9:58 Spiff has progressed from simulating war crimes to committing actual literal real-life war crimes.
Ahhh, an ancient classic from the before times, truly lord Spiff blesses us this day
For anyone wondering about the music, its called Glorious Morning by Waterflame, and they released a newer version of it too.
