Forcing someone to have a smartphone to prove their humanity is insane. Not everyone even has a smartphone, I know quite a few people who dropped smartphones in favour of old flip phones to help stay offline more thoughout their life.

This is why Google (and similar) should not be treated as private companies. They have the power of nations.
Dude, I have NO OPTIONS for de-googling my life. And I hate it. Everything my school does it through google. And they fall for every part of it, my whole life has been google-fied and I don't even use it on any of my personal devices.
