Ruby and her Rubix Cube, too cute! I was told by momma many years ago that coffee grounds can not go down the sink, even in a brick and mortar home it is not good. You could save them and pour them out every few days in the trees or park, since they are all organic it would benefit the soil. I miss Portland. Lived on the Columbia there for 13 years and miss it very much.
