Clutch is essential for control of bike. In hills, 1st gear basically works as a brake when you're parked. Almost everyone parks with 1st gear engaged.

Some of you are a bit confused and have highlighted that TVS Jive and Honda Street had a centrifugal clutch in past. Yes, they had, but they did not have a clutch lever. I have specifically said and pressed the lever while talking about it.
