Shane used to do this in supercars all the time. Run long in first stint and swallow up the field in second stint. Average pace = winning the race

While his impact in NASCAR is impressive, it’s worth noting that to be regarded as the best of all time is a massive stretch. There is an assumption that NASCAR is the pinnacle of motorsports but the reality is that the reason he is doing so well is that he comes from a herd of massively talented drivers in Australia and New Zealand. He responded with humility and a sense as to not diminish the talent in NASCAR but he knows on a worldwide perspective, he isn’t the best. Maybe in NASCAR, the best so far.

i was sceptical even after the 5 road races he won last year...but todays race from where he pulled back the field..to me confirms it...definitely the best nascar road racer ive seen, And no disrepect to past. great nascar road racers. As for ovals....hes improved alot...a work in progress.
