If Firecracker left immediately she would've been alive, instead she opened her mouth
Only guy in a TV show to ever hear βno words, just goβ and he fucking listened and got right tf outta there
Only man in boys universe with survival instinct
He excepted his deathππ that why bro wasnβt afraid of homelander, cuz he already knew he was dead from the start.
And somehow control ur heartbeat
Homelanderβs actions and everything is like an animal. You just donβt trigger its killer instincts
The people who aren't scared of him are the only ones who make him feel human. They're the only ones who make him feel like a real person.
Kripke confirms itβs part of Homelanderβs tragic, twisted need for parental validation The show uses the moment to highlight lingering emotional vulnerabilities

I wouldve wanted to quietly say thanks to Homelander but that might get me killed haha
Thatβs the first physical contact Homelander mustβve had in a long time, besides when heβs trying to mutilate, decapitate or just generally kill someone
Its kinda ironic how homelander is trying to become a god, but deep down all he wants is for people to treat him like a normal human beingπ
He said no words because of firecracker π
The fact Homelander doesnβt kill the ones who arenβt afraid was a BRILLIANT call/writing move from the author.
This moment is the definition of, "Don't Underestimate the old man in the battlefield where men die young."
Idk why but I felt like that old man is stan leeπ’ Edit: I never have got this much likes
Sooo wanna get ice cream? That might actually work
Legend (old man) being The Boys version of Stan Lee is hilarious
When he said "Leave. No words" he said it because like before if firecracker didnt talked she would be alive
How empathy, being a decent human being is also a superpower in itself. Edited: I think he knows he was going to die anyways, so better be real. Not for survival but he understood the pain that monster like Homelander went through, just a wounded child. Though, I do not think Homelander have redemptive quality. But, at the same time we saw Homelander went back to being a decent human for moment as well. In reality, the environment and system produce a monster like him. His nervous system stuck in survival mode.
