Survival instincts of a good driver The emergency brake serves as a vital mechanical fail-safe that operates independently from your vehicle's primary hydraulic system. Its main responsibility is to securely anchor the car while parked, preventing unnecessary strain or damage to the transmission's internal components. Beyond parking, it acts as a critical backup should your foot brakes fail, using a system of cables to manually slow the wheels. It also assists manual drivers during tricky hill starts by preventing the vehicle from rolling backward before the engine engages. Since this system can seize up if left untouched for too long, do you make it a habit to engage your parking brake every time you turn off the engine? What are your thoughts? And this is why cars need hand e-brakes and not just push button parking brakes.
Bro handled it so well the passenger slept through itπ

a real G who stops the panic from spreading outside of his head
the fact the passenger had barely woken up, incredible risk management there sir
This guy has the poise of an airline pilot. Well done!
What a real ass dude. He knew both of their lives were in danger yet he didnβt panic out loud and handled it like a G
He handled that in the absolute best way possible. Incredibly impressive
Lol the girl fell back asleep in the middle of him panicking.
He was remarkably calm for this situation
This guy handled this perfectly, bravo!!
he stressed the f out and she went back to sleep. that sent me
Nothing more annoying then waking up in the car and realizing you ain't going home
This kind of calm never makes things worse
Yes finally a person that actually has a brain and uses the emergency break right, and not just sitting confused Ike you can't do anything.
No screaming, overreacting, hell.. not even a word spoken! π«‘
Something tells me this wasn't the first "emergency" that this car has given him. Almost like "Just another day".
And then is this girl who didnβt knew what was happening π
Remember: if the brakes stop working, try anything that will slow you down and pump the brake. It may need a pump to work due to hydraulics.
Engine braking and e-brake are so useful, I canβt believe manufacturers are putting in electronic e-brakes nowβ¦
