It's a decent income, but mostly cash...all the detailers I know act like bartenders do with their cash: they spend it at bars and strip clubs after work.
I work in Utah and people call me just as much in the winter. If anything winter is when cars really get dirty inside and out

You can make a lot detailing if you’re good and meticulous but you also have to have customers that understand how much work it takes to do a really good job. You gotta advertise
Yeah because car detailing doesn't have a crazy barrier for entry but you have to be reasonable and good at it. Also like many other businesses it could he a grind before you make any money so unless you commit it won't go anywhere.

If you're making 70k on the low end annually detailing cars amd you have slow months in the winter, you have enough income to set up shop in a state where the weather is nice like down south.

If you want to become a detailer start part time at an actually car spot. You’ll figure out pretty quick if you like it or not and you’ll get trained/paid
