The thing with detailing is the ceiling is extraordinarily high. Most people think it's easy to hit the ceiling but don't realize the floor is literally nothing. Hence why sooo many people get into it and then don't make any money. They have no actual business plan.
I’ve been detailing for 11 years, and I’ve seen countless other detailing “businesses” come and go in that time. It’s not as glamorous as social media makes it out to be. It tends to be gross, hot af outside, and it takes a lot of time and wading through bad customers to establish a solid client base. Same as any business really, but detailing requires very little money to start, and there’s not accreditation process for it, so it’s easy to see why guys lean towards the field.

My brother is full entrepreneur in doing detailing. He got dedicated after working at low end low wage jobs and realized he can control his income at an early age of 22. He got certified to do tinting, he has his own shop. He didn’t know anything about it and made it.

Car detailing can be very good money at least here where I live. The problem is though that you actually don't need to spend that much money to get all the essentials so the competition is insane. If I Google car detailer near me I find about 10 and I don't exactly live in a big city or anyhring

Car detailing is only great when you’re consistent. I do it on the side and avg 1k per week doing it. It’s like they say anyone can clean a car but not everyone can actually Detail.
That is a hard job. At the end of the day cleaning my car I’m exhausted. I clean planes at work, sometimes I go hard scrubbing off the bugs, and the next day I’m a wreck. Good detailers are some soldiers
A good car detailer makes bank.
just FYI, if you're disciplined and good, AND can get your regular customers, you can make bank car detailing! 150 -250 per car, maybe 400 plus for the high end cars and you could knock out 3 or 4 of them a day depending on the condition of the car.
