Gross anatomy of the lungs. This is an animated lecture on the basic features and clinical anatomy of the lungs. The apex, base, borders, and surfaces were discussed. Structures making impressions on the lungs were considered. Lung root and lung hilum, lobes, and fissures were described. The pulmonary artery and bronchial artery and the pulmonary and bronchial veins were discussed in the blood supply. The role of vagus and T2 to T5 spinal segments was noted in the sympathetic and parasympathetic innervation of the lungs. Lymphatic drainage of the lungs was also discussed. The component of the bronchial tree, the principal, lobar, segmental, terminal bronchi, and respiratory bronchioles were discussed. This lecture highlighted all the clinical correlates associated with the lungs.
