Thanks to everyone who lent us their cars for this video: - Zeekr 8X: https://www.instagram.com/kainiansgarage/ - Rolls-Royce Cullinan: https://www.instagram.com/seanysgarage It’s time for a China vs Britain luxury showdown! Mat’s got his hands on the range-topping Zeekr 8X, and he’s going to compare it to a 5-year-old, second-hand Rolls-Royce Cullinan to see if massive tech can truly unseat the king of luxury SUVs. If you’re looking solely for performance, it’s easy to see why you may choose the Zeekr. It may only be equipped with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, but this is used to power three electric motors which combine to produce a staggering 1,400hp and 1,410Nm of torque! In comparison, the Cullinan may have a huge 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12, but this can ‘only’ produce 571hp and 850Nm. However, the Rolls-Royce is the lighter of the two at 2,660kg, whereas the Zeekr’s heavy battery tech pushes it up to 2,820 kg! But chances are, if you’re in the market for one of these two cars, luxury tech and quality features are likely to be top of your agenda, and both of these cars are stacked full of them. Both cars come with soft-close automatic doors, massage seats in the front (although the Zeekr has them in the rear as well), and large infotainment screens in the front. However, while the interiors of both cars are styled relatively well, the Rolls easily wins it thanks to the quality of the materials throughout the cabin. Almost any element you touch feels expensive - but what else would you expect from a Rolls-Royce! However, there’s one area where the Zeekrs wins hands down - the price. The Rolls-Royce we have here, despite being 5 years old and second-hand, still costs £250,000. As for the Zeekr? As new, it only costs £54,300! So will Mat prefer the Zeekr to the Rolls-Royce? You’ll need to keep watching to see for yourself! water in glass test was won due to the skill of the guy holding the glass steady
The water in glass tests are as scientific as my farts
Just an idea, put the glass in the cup holder. Then you can compare the pitch of the vehicle. :)
The dude in the rolls with the water was a freaking ninja 🥷🏼
That blindspot feature on the HUD is absolutely brilliant.
broooo the last 3 min of video left me with no words
I remember when Top Gear said we'll all be driving chinese cars and they were bang on the money
The fact that you are comparing them and they are competing is crazy
17:23 The conclusion
It costs 54k in China, in UK it will cost more like 70-75k
The Zeekr will be 80k when it comes to the UK. The Rolls Royce is not for people who seek value for money. It's for people who want to make a statement about their wealth.
Wtf, that zeeker flew.
That water test was more about the passenger who understood physics better and moved the glass with the momentum
The last sentence is 100% true! 17:24
i love the consistency with carwow these days
When comparing the Zeekr 8X to the Cullinan, Zeekr has already won.
«Not rich enough»? He bought a £400k GT3 RS so he definetly is
Test the new NIO ES9 ;)
2:15 instead of giving those glasses in hand you should have opened the tray and placed it on it .
