Does anyone else go straight to car sales after watching these ? 😂
Old school Mercs from the 80s are honestly way cooler than any of the new ones. Proper luxury, when build quality was top of the list and luxury meant the quality of materials used. For me, I'd pick the w126 over the w140 tbh. Especially a 560sec 😍 such a sexy car
Lexus and Genesis probably flood this list
11:30 "the Japanese version of the Lexus LS" 😂
Hey guys love your work, I have an issue I own a2013 gl500 140k been an absolute weapon, had a slow leak on airbag got quoted 8k to fix, went to another an got 3.8k to fix. I bought one online and put it in myself In an hour part cost 360. My question is are these cars really that bad to fix or is it just mechanics taking the piss? Can u do an episode on this? Thanks Chris.
Almost anything BMW during the 90s is a win. I remember seeing an older interview (2000s) with someone from BMW talking about how the decided to change how they painted the brake pedals, going from 5 coats of paint to 2.
Staggered no Honda Legends in your list Phenomenal luxury cars. Super reliable reasonably cheap to run and sublime build quality.
W124 and W126 were both great cars as well…
In part because of your earlier video, I bought a Lexus LS 430, and so far I've been extremely happy with it. Thanks!
I think you guys just described Lexus in the first 30-seconds of this video. Yes they aren’t rare but they are fairly uncommon. But they are reliable and are understated luxurious.
Guys are you talking E32-7 series or E38-7 series BMW? Those are mostly E38 pics.
Those overbuilt Mercs and Lexus models are a delight...and crazy difficult to do DIY repairs.
2024 Lexus IS 500 F Sport....That's got me written all over it
Back when I lived in Tokyo my house was round the corner from the office of the local MP, who was a government minister at the time and was provided with a chauffeur driven Toyota Century. I got the chauffeur to show me round it once. What a car. I've never seen anything else so beautifully built. Mind you, I had incredible respect for the driving skills of the chauffeur. The Century is huge, and the narrow streets where we lived were a tight fit for my Honda Civic, so how he managed to navigate them is still a marvel to me.
My brother had these S-class god this are the best,he had S320 i loved that car so much I cried when he sold it
I picked up a 2003 LS430 one owner 220k for under $10k last year and it's not just best car I have owned but probably the best car I have ever been in.
Those Volvos looking clean in the background
Always love to see footage of Big Lex in a round up gents! 6 years of troublefree luxury motoring, and counting.
Bought myself a 2014 LS460 last year and oh my goodness… the damper and suspension! They are sooo well tuned and sooooo comfy that it literally brings the ride quality to the next level! It’s like the most brilliant steam generator you can ever buy and will effortlessly remove the wrinkle on your shirt in the first ever go, at any time, on any surface! Magic simply isn’t enough to describe the feeling……
A friend owns one of the BMW’s you describe. It drives better and more smoothly than every company car I have driven other the last twenty years. Bloody thing jumps out of the ground.
