I have friends who owned Volvo's in the past. Both were exceptionally unreliable. I owned a BMW, and dumped it after spending more than the purchase price on repairs in the first couple of years. I also owned a Freightliner with a Mercedes engine. It got really good fuel mileage, because you don't burn much fuel when being towed. Of the four trucks I owned, this one cost twice as much in repairs as the other three combined. My 12 year old Lexus Es had 100,000 miles when I bought it, and having driven it for more than another 100,000 I have replaced only oil, brakes, and tires!

I owned a 2021 Panamera Executive. How much do you think a water pump replacement was ......$6,500. They have to take the engine out to replace the water pump. The pump was $550.00

The 2004-2006 LS430 is still the best car ever made and the last overbuilt Lexus. The most comfortable car period.

5 series is hard to believe,I had a 7 series and it stayed in the shop,that car was so smart it was stupid!

I'm on my 11th Lexus, it's an older GS300 SE-L model and still delivers all the silent running, superb comfort, total reliability and surprising economy that i5 did when it was new in 2006. The car has 163,670 miles on it but I won't be changing it anytime soon. Absolutely excellent car, even our terrible roads here in the UK don't bother it. That's real quality.

Older Mercedes 300d was one of the best. Many examples over 700,000 miles.

I have a Lexus ls 460 with almost 300,000 miles that’s a 2007 year model and still runs awesome.

The A6 will fall apart right after the warranty expires. My A6 ate me alive in repairs. Finally, I took a huge loss just to get out from under the car. Went Japanese and have zero issues now.

This guy definitely gets the #1 car right--Lexus. A Lexus is as close to bullet proof as is possible after its warranty has expired. His 2nd choice, the Porsche Panamera, is interesting, The Panamera is far sportier than the Lexus and any other car in this video, but that comes at a price. According to Marketwatch, if you buy a 10 year old 2015 Panamera, expect repair and maintenance costs to slightly exceed $100 a month. You may be purchasing a $100,000 car for $30,000, but over 5 years you'll likely be paying another $6000 minimum in maintenance. You want luxury and comfort, go with the Lexus at half the maintenance costs of a Panamera. You want handling and performance, go with the Panamera but expect to pay extra for that in maintenance costs. I have owned both Lexus and Porsche automobiles,. There is no question the Lexus was more reliable and needed fewer repairs, but it was nowhere as much fun to drive as any of the 3 Porsches I've owned.

You people are nuts. The Lexus ES 350 is the most reliable car that's ever been built and the 2017 model is the most reliable year model that has ever been built. If a car does not have port and direct fuel injection then you're going to have some very serious issues when the warranty wears out. Direct fuel injection is the worst for carbon buildup.
