The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S is here—it's a hybrid. We tested the new Turbo S with launch control to get its 0-60 mph acceleration time and more. Its performance results rival the quickest supercars and hypercars, including Porsche's first hybrid, the legendary 918 Spyder. Does electric assistance make the 911 better? Day 1 of asking for worlds greatest drag race to return
upcoming gt2rs is writing history then
I have been reading Motor Trend for over 60 years. Never, ever, back in the day could i imagine the magazine talking about performance bargains at $272,000 USD. Porsche's were available then at 1/100th the price of this car and had enough performance to cause one to always wear brown pants when driving one. What a difference 60 years makes...
was this put together with AI?
worlds greatest drag race with 911 turbo s 992.2 vs corvette zr1 vs ferrari testarossa vs temerario vs revoulto vs sf90 vs toyota gr gt vs aston martins new vanquish pleaseee
Just imagine a ZR1x traps 15mph more in the quarter than this. Nuts.
People talk about Corvette Zr1X... The Corvette is not built like the Turbo S; it's not as luxurious, comfortable, reliable, or drivable. Yes, it's faster, but there's no point comparing two different types of cars to one another and this is coming from a Corvette fan.
0:29 ahh a voice void of any enthusiasm. Great.
I guess I will be the first person to mention the ZR1X. :)
Was really hoping it wouldn’t be an ai voice but it is.. so half arsed
That's a nice looking RTR you got hiding back there
It’s been running these numbers… for years
$286k is just stoopid
this is great and all but after you've lived with a Naturally Aspirated flat 6 you could NEVER down grade to a turbo model. the engine raspness just isn't there.
Corvette ZR1X .. enough said.
yall test this on a dusty surface like the zr1?
put modern tires on the 918 and I bet it will still win
My almost 20 y/o 911 Turbo runs great, no issues with 118k on the clock. In 20 years will this one do the same, or will owners be stuck with a dead car that needs an obscure battery that no one makes anymore?
so the new 911 is HYPERCAR QUICK when you time it on a spotless test track but the C8 ZR1, which also ran a 9.9 with a higher trap speed on a gritty desert road, isn't? Motortrend continues to disappoint and show its bias. You're losing my trust quickly.
Dream car. Such a timeless beauty. Love it. Hope to own one.
