wow the silver undercoat-tinted overcoat is crazy
What a privilege to be able to interview Frank Heyl, He is an amazing designer and a really nice smart guy. Loved the whole video and Franks passion and detailed explanations.
Love this! Great presentation and really cool to see Mr. Heyl showing some designs and sketching as well!
18:41 Thank God for Ferdinand Piech, he really influenced the car world positively
great video! Talking about center console made of one piece of aluminium is crazy, when there is very visible connection line to the lower part...
Very classy little upgrade. I approve. 😊
I will really appreciate when a 400kmph car actually goes 400 kms on a single tank.
This interview with the designer - really fascinating. Body, interior, engineering hard points, engine layout design - he's across everything. Just amazing
Watching the man draw was like watching Billy Strings play guitar. So completely comfortable with the instrument in the hand. An artist.
You know you're getting old when cars you still kinda think of as "new" start getting reborn
I will say this version is absolutely gorgeous. With all the details and everything that is put into this version and not to mention the amount of horsepower. This is beyond a collectors piece. It is iconic.
Now this is a great looking Passat
I could listen to that guy talk about design, process, evolution, and history for an hour or two. Great stuff. So much goes into it. It's important.
Great episode TG, I love these docu stories on car legends like the Veyron! I also reckon Frank would be a great dinner guest, an enthusiastic gent with many fascinating stories to tell, and who clearly LOVES his job! I am very jealous of you!
Absolutely terrific interview segment at the end. Really great video Top Gear!
The in-depth interview with Frank was AMAZING! Love those insights, they're priceless
I really like this updated design. Bugatti is one of the last brands left that actually still cares about its cars, it shows.
Very nice video, you can feel the passion all through the interview.
The way he sketches out the engineering components like nothing... this artwork is literally PRICELESS!
That old Top Gear footage, right in the feels.
