Please make a video about Europes denial of FSD, it's reasons (ideology, protectionism), it's economical implementation and consequenses
I live and work here. Info is pretty accurate.
The difference is chips are important and is a must for our civilization to sustain
They also make the nails available at Home Depot
Thank you for making this video!
6:10 This graph actually shows that the USD has appreciated from 27 TWD to 32 TWD over the given timeframe. Hence the TWD is falling in value, which seems to contradict the narrative of "massive appreciation pressure".
Most of the problems you mentioned in the video have been known to many Taiwanese entrepreneurs for years, and they have been thinking about solutions for them. There may not be a perfect solution yet, but they are not unprepared either.
I'm from Groningen 🥳 🎉
I'm from Kaohshiung❤.
The figure around 06:12 was showing depreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar, not appreciation. It is precisely because of such nuance that directly applying Dutch Disease to explain what is happening in Taiwan is not ideal.
Not surprising for a former Dutch colony
With the exception of Singapore has the same energy as “With the exception of Satoru Gojo of course “😂
Hey please make video about Thailand's landbridge project. ❤
This analysis is flawed. Computer chips are not a "natural resource". The only natural resource here are the people of Taiwan: their skills and work ethic. They can adapt to changing economic landscapes.
I don’t know where the statistics about the average living cost in Taiwan comes from but I’ve been living here for over 17 years and I’m not even in the capital where rent is 1.5 higher. 9500 USD a year is drastically underestimated, it’s the minimum cost of living WITHOUT a rent which at average another 800-900 USD a month. So the average cost is around 20 000 USD a year.
I think it is very different from the oil which can be easily produced and replace by other, but the advance chip can only be produced here in taiwan plus the whole supply chain working on ai infurstructure is really picking it up so I don’t think there is no Dutch disease thing happening in taiwan for next 10 years…..
You can't 'reunify' with a country you have never been part of.
I'm a Taiwanese. I witness so many Taiwanese going to work at 7AM to late evening everyday with little rest. The asset bubble in "Taiwanese AI Stock" is just a final harvest of massive wealth transfer to steal what that hard-working Taiwanese have accumulated over the past 70 years. It's an old game similar to what happened to Japan in early 90s. The massive AI (actually LLM) investment is a scam of old game of Supplier Finance between those big tech. The demand from real consumer and enterprise is far from supporting this scale of investment. I feel very sad.
Taiwan could be perfect country if they don't have the worst real estate market in the world(excluding HK and Singapore). Outside of chip industry salaries are low...same thing with costs of living but real estate is crazy expensive in absolutely every millimeter of the country and unaffordable for almost everyone.
Just got back from biz trip in Taiwan and I've never seen so many Porsche, Lexus, and Tesla's on the road! It's across the country but particularly so in Taichung!
