This explains a lot. I grew up in "survival mode" from an incredibly young age. I have core memories of running from a gang of bullies in first grade. I had issues beyond fear that led to being in and out of my family home til I was 13. Spent High School in a house with a biological family I didn't recognize and didn't recognize me because of it. Always the outcast and ever able to see the thoughts that people don't speak just based on body language and what was said.
